let the changes begin...

Just wanted to provide an update....we're GREAT! :) Josh and I have both been working hard at work, he likes calling himself a vampire since he works nights and gets to draw blood! We had a great trip to the mountains this past weekend where we visited my Mom and Doug. We missed seeing snow by just a few hours...and we missed it in Florence, who got hit with some good snow...but we did see about 26 flakes here in Charleston on Tues night! HA ha! Go figure! We have started the work of clearing out the back bedroom of all of it's clutter and extra. This is the beginning of BIG CHANGES AHEAD! As I have worked to clean and clear I just keep thinking that this is the beginning of what lies ahead...many sleepless nights with a sick or fussy baby, many diapers to change, many sweet smiles and baby giggles....OH BOY!! :) We are SO blessed beyond measure! We love you all!!

Me & Mama in Babies-R-Us,
where we found a GREAT deal on a 4-piece crib set...
wonderful to build on the colors: brown and green,
and we'll work in some blue too!

Just a quick pic of the blanket from the crib set, near the wall,
it matches perfectly! :)

A before shot of the very messy back bedroom which will be the sweet nursery soon!

Date Night

Tonight my sweet husband took me out to a nice dinner, just because he wanted to treat me special! I love it when he does that! My dear Josh is so incredibly thoughtful, he knows when his pregnant wife just needs to feel pretty ;) So we got all dressed up and went downtown. The weather was beautiful, the twinkle lights were romantic, and dinner was yummie! We talked about nursery ideas and thoughts of medical school over cheese fondue. We ended our time with a sample of the chef's pound cake (unfortunately not pregnant-people portions, but great taste none the less!). We have a very busy week ahead with fun travels over the weekend coming up, so this was a very nice, relaxing start to a great week! We appreciate your continued prayers as we await word from medical schools to know if Josh will get an interview this year, we are trusting in the Lord!! And we also appreciate your prayers as we look next to make plans and arrangements for our sweet little guy's nursery here in our home :) We love you all!!!

What a handsome couple!!

Beautiful Downtown Charleston!

Last Sneak Peek!

We had our final ultrasound this morning, and are happy to report that our Little Bean looks healthy and super cute!! I've decided that he is a bit shy, as he was once again not willing to show much of his precious little face. The heart ECHO looked great, so we are all clear as far as any markers for Down Syndrome, Praise the Lord!!! We are all set for a due date of April 27th, and praying he stays tucked right in there until he is well done :) We love you all very much and appreciate your prayers for this little one!

Such a cute little FOOT!

Here's one last wave hello from Little Wesley,
he says, "see ya in 16 more weeks"!!!

Happy 2009

A very Happy New Year to you all!! :) We are back home and among the living...having recovered from a nasty stomach virus just after Christmas. We had a great time visiting friends and family over our break!

We had a very productive last-day-of-the-year! We went to Babies R Us and started our registry, we enjoyed a nice lunch date, we hit Target and Big Lots for sales, and most of all we LOVED being together and making plans for the New Year ahead!

Setting up our Baby registry...maybe Josh got a little trigger happy ;)

We are blessed to have such wonderful neighbors in out little neighborhood! We rang in the New Year with old friends and new, and oysters too!

Here's Andy in anxious anticipation of the yummie oysters to come...

If you don't know how, just watch the (4-yr-old) PRO!

Nothin' like good friends and Danny's specially freshly steamed oysters!

Happy Couple, Happy New Year!

Josh enjoys a plate of oysters :)
THANKS Danny!!!

Chef, Organizer, and Best Hostess Marya takes a break to eat...
we love Mrs. Bobbie's meatballs!
