European vacation!!!

So i know it has been a while since we posted last but man let me tell you we have gotten so so so SO much done!!! February 9th Lila flew to Germany to spent 2 weeks vacation with me!!! It was wonderful! For starters we toured some of the Hot Spots and must sees in Munich (where i live). Then we traveled by train to Baden-Baden Germany which is a quaint little town with lots to do on the boarder of Germany and France! The train ride there was fun and lila and i both got to enjoy the beautiful countryside as we wound around mountains and lakes finally ending up in Baden Baden. There we enjoyed great german food, little shops, green gardens, and Valentines day! Our first Valentines day together was a great one! We were able to buy our wedding bands and have them engraved for a reasonable price, as well as eat dinner at a fantastic little resturaunt called "Mama Lina's" (a must eat at place if you ever venture to Baden-Baden!!) Our next destination was Luzern Switzerland (An increadibly beautiful little town on a lake in the Alps!) We quickly found that food was expensive in Switzerland! Our first meal was surprisingly not swiss cheeze or chocolate but instead chineese food lol. We arrived among the celebrating crouds durring the holiday of Fasching (sort of like mardigras but with out the nudity) So bands were playing all over the city and people were dressed up and to be quite honest after an 5 or 6 hour train ride we just wanted to eat! lol. The next couple of days we visited the old buildings and structures built in the 14th century including the wall (an old boundry of the city) the lion (a monument for fallen swiss soldiers in a war long long ago) as well as poking in and out of little shops and watching a big parade! We were able to find fantastic little gifts for family (including real SWISSarmy knives lol). After a few days in Switzerland Lila and I decided to cut our stay there short by a couple of days and randomly hopped on a train bound for the land of great wine and spaghetti. (yea the pope lives there too but we didnt get to see him lol) So 8 hours later we arrived in Venice Italy! Neither of us really knew much about it other than you pretty much had to ride a boat anywhere you went b/c their streets are actually canals! The steps from peoples homes literaly descend down into a canal. It was amazing! Personaly i found that the spagheti we had at the italian resturaunt in Baden-Baden (Mama Lina's) was much more tasty than the spagheti we had in Italy, however what amazed both of us was the interesting picturesqness (is this a word?) of the city. It was absolutely breathtaking! Needless to say our vacation was marvolous!! I will definitely travel the world over with Lila, she is the best person God could have ever given me to spend the rest of my life with as well as to enjoy in moments like these for the rest of our lives together!!!
