The Date

After much discussion and debate
and a lotta wait....
we have chosen a date! :)
We will be getting married this August 4th, 2007 in Charleston, SC. The parents approve. The ministers agree. And we are THRILLED! We tossed around such ideas as Florence, where Lila grew up... a garden wedding in the clearing of some woods in a special place...the beach...the moon...but we ended up agreeing on the first place we ever talked about: our home church here in Chucktown, USA! :) We are so super excited to have a date set, and anxious to set plans. There's lots to be done, in a just-perfect amount of time. So we covet your prayers as Lila is in Charleston and Josh in Germany, and plans are to be made in between. Thanks for checking in on us, we'll keep you posted ;)

he loves me!

today, for the first time, josh sent me flowers! i cannot even begin to express my gratitude. i am overwhelmed by his love. josh continues to amaze me with how he finds new and wonderful ways to show me his love. the flowers, of course, are a beautiful outward expression of his deep love for me. words do not suffice for me to express how MUCH i truly, madly, deeply DO love josh. i endeavor to spend the rest of my life trying to show him how much i love, honor, respect, and care for him.

Back in the BRD

After a wonderful christmas spent with family and friends and my new fiancé ;-D i had to fly back to Germany where i am studying for a year. It will be hard being apart from the love of my life and now fiancé however we both know that God's plan is perfect! Over the last couple of months while i have been here the Lord has allowed our communication to blossum and grow with His nurturing. I am now safely back in Germany and homesick already lol, i think i began getting homesick when i left for the airport with Lila. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways in our relationship the most of corse being with eachother. He has made it possible for us to see eachother through the year knowing that we need the companionship, love, and encouragement of the other as we seek Him as the center of our relationship while apart. So i would like for all of you who care and love Lila and I to please pray that this time apart from eachother but still very much in love, would be abundantly blessed by God. Also pray that our planning process for the wedding and for life would be according to God's will and go smoothly! It was wonderful to see all of you at Christmas i am praying for you all!
